Kleine Wikipedia-SOPA-Presseschau

“Imagine a world without free knowledge.” I just did and I didn’t like it, now can I have my Wikipedia back?" How I’m Surviving (or Trying to) Without Wikipedia at My Fingertips

In thinking about this critique, I recalled talking to a long-time organizer during the heat of the Occupy protests late last year. "Protests don't solve things," she told me. "Protests create problems that policymakers then have to solve." To be clear, by "create a problem," I mean to frame some set of facts and events in the world in such a way that they become a coherent bad, separate from the general messiness of the world. The SOPA Blackout Created a Big Problem

I'm glad that all of these organizations are taking a stand. But invoking what some call the "nuclear option" is only going to be so effective. Even if SOPA/PIPA are stopped this year, they'll be back under new names next year. The entertainment industry can afford to keep at it, knowing that the public's attention span is extremely short. The lobbyists who work on things like SOPA are paid to press these things through Congress. They can focus on them year after year, while the voting public has to make a conscious effort to keep tabs on their representatives: What I Wish Wikipedia and Others Were Saying About SOPA/PIPA

Zum Abschluss etwas nettes. Die süßeste SOPA-Erlärung: The Oatmeal

Ganz zu Ende folgt Egoschau. Radio 1/RBB spricht mit Dirk Franke, langjähriger Wikipedia-Autor und laut FAZ „prominentester Wikipedianer Deutschlands“: Schweigen im Netz

Also da warst du aber nicht in Höchstform. Kenne dich sonst weitaus eloquenter. Von Radio 1 verschreckt? ;)
